Kinetic Road Machine Fluid Trainer

This off-season I plan to work more on my biking, drills, workouts, etc. and with winter approaching decided to buy a bike trainer. There are 3 types of trainers: wind,  magnetic and fluid. In a fluid trainer you get the most realistic riding experience. The Kinetic fluid trainer is one if not the best on the market. The road trainer provides you with various resistance as you change gears on your bike. The trainer also comes with a lifetime warranty. Stores away very easily, especially for riders with small apartments, limited space = New York.

Features:

It’s the perfect workout partner for sprints to intervals to all-day cruising. Quiet. Smooth. And like every Kinetic Trainer, 100% leak-proof. The power calibration gives you true outdoor cycling simulation. The automatic resistance adjusts as you change speeds. Realism as only Kinetic can deliver it.

Specialized Allez Sport 2010

With our recent move to a new apartment I made a decision to upgrade my GT Avalanche 2.0 mountain bike to a road bike. Many factors affected my decision including: 4 flight walk up, more participation in triathlons in the future, and also I never quite used my MTB for it’s intended purpose being off road biking (which I hope to TRY someday, maybe even as part of a Tri).

I first had to sell my mtb in order to make my road bike purchase, hellooo craigslist. The bike was listed for about a day, and got sold pretty quickly, me being 6’3″, there is a pretty high demand for larger frames, that also led to the rapid sale.

The search began for my new best friend. After visiting a number of bike stores and trying out different makes and models of road bikes, the choice was boiled down to a Trek 1.2 vs Specialized Allez. I fell in-love with the Allez 2010 frame and was sold.

The purchase was made at Bicycle Habitat. Matt, who is one if not the best salesman at the Habitat, helped me  figure out the best bike and fit for me and my riding demands. We choose the Specialized Allez Sport 2010.

Asics Men’s Gel Cumulus VIII Wide Width Shoe

My first serious running shoe. It was purchased for my first race with the New York Road Runners (NYRR), Al Gordon Snowflake, which was held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn in February, 2009. I bought the shoes at Paragon Sports (which I highly recommend) , I did the treadmill run to figure out what type of arch I have so that I was matched with the correct shoes, the shoe specialist was great. The conclusion was neutral-cushioned running shoes, so I choose the Asics Gel Cumulus.

Description:

  • These stylish Asics shoes are comfortable and durable
  • Sleek athletic shoes feature GEL cushioning systems
  • This stylish shoe combines a broad, neutral platform with an unstructured upper
